Langport Community Choir was founded in 2008 after funding was withdrawn for the Sing for Fun course run by Somerset County Council at Huish Episcopi School and Science College. Choir leader Pete Linnett, of The Natural Voice Practitioners Network, was persuaded to continue teaching them if they could raise the money to finance the project privately.
Well, we got the money.......and we got Pete, our charismatic MD.......and the rest is history. We are a friendly group who sing for sheer enjoyment. Harmony songs from around the world are taught by ear so there is no need to read music and there are no auditions!
Our repertoire is building and we are now singing regularly at local events.
